TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Residents driving near Hulman Street will soon see a pair of road closures while crews work to resurface 8th and 9th Streets.

According to Terre Haute Department of Engineering Director of Inspection Bradley Utz, the closures of 8th and 9th streets will begin Monday, July 18.

8th Street will be shut down from Hulman Street to Wabash Avenue, while 9th Street will shut down from Hulman to Tippecanoe streets.

The closures will only be in place during working hours between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. no parking will be allowed during that time. Vehicles that are parked during these hours will be towed if the owner cannot be located by field personnel.

Work is expected to be finished by the end of the day Monday, July 25, weather permitting.
