FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers who regularly utilize State Road 246 just north of Farmersburg during the daytime will need to find a new route as the road is set to close temporarily.

INDOT has announced that beginning May 23, a portion of SR 246 will be closed for three days to allow crews to replace culverts along the road. That closure will only be active from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. with barricades being removed overnight.

The closure will run from Farmersburg Road also known as 31st Street until the intersection with South True Blood Place. Crews will replace one culvert per day during the three-day project.

INDOT’s suggested detour is for motorists to take SR 63 to SR 48 to N County Road 200 E. back to SR 246.
