FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Tornado sirens were activated overnight in portions of Sullivan County after “numerous sightings of rotation,” according to a post from Farmersburg Police on their Facebook page.
Sullivan County Dispatch confirms areas of damage between Merom and New Lebanon. Multiple power poles are down on Indiana 58. No tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service.
Hundreds of customers were without power as of 2 a.m. due to the strong storms that blew through the area. Most of the outages are in Sullivan County, according to Duke Energy’s outage map.
The Sullivan County sirens were activated just after 12:30 a.m.
