TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Three people and a dog have been displaced after a structure fire took place early on Monday morning.
According to Terre Haute Fire Department Chief Bill Berry, firefighters with the Terre Haute Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2000 block of Sycamore Street around 2:50 a.m. and were able to get the fire controlled within minutes.
Berry noted that the Red Cross was contacted for the three people and one dog that were displaced due to the fire. Firefighters stayed on the scene checking for hotspots and noted there were no entrapments or injuries during the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
