THPD to go live

Local News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Police Department is going LIVE—Live PD that is.

The A&E show announced Tuesday that episodes featuring THPD will begin airing Friday and Saturday.

“Starting this weekend as a special 4-week programming event, Live PD will be live with 12 departments across the country versus the usual 8,” and A&E spokesperson told WTWO/WAWV.

“Who’s staying home this Friday and Saturday night to watch the THPD on LIVE PD?!?!? Buckle up…we’re coming your way…,” Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson tweeted Tuesday following the announcement.

Live PD launched in October of 2016. Season 4 began airing in September.

Hosted by Dan Abrams, the show documents a typical weekend night of policing in a community.

Terre Haute Police Department is not the first Indiana department to be featured on the show. Crews also ride along with Lawrence Police Department.

Live PD crews have been participating in ride-alongs with THPD for the past few weeks to get to know the officers and the area in general.

The show airs on Friday and Saturday night on A&E at 9pm ET/PT.
