TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man is in custody following threats to shoot anyone who entered his house.

According to the Terre Haute Police Department, the situation began Wednesday morning when officers were sent to a home in the 1600 block of N 14th Street looking for a wanted subject.

Police reported that as they approached the door after being given permission to search the home, the wanted man, Marvin Eacret, shouted that he would shoot anyone who entered the house. The Terre Haute Police Special Response Team was then called to the scene.

With the assistance of the SRT, Eacret was reportedly taken into custody without incident.

Eacret, 30, has been charged with intimidation and resisting law enforcement in addition to his active arrest warrants for invasion of privacy, criminal confinement, and domestic battery.
