TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man has been arrested after police said he was found with tools used for burglary as well as stolen property over the weekend.
According to Terre Haute Police Department, Christopher S. Conder, 40, of Terre Haute was arrested after officers were called to the 1500 block of 4th Avenue for a residential alarm at 1:32 p.m. on Sunday.
An investigation led police to determine that a burglary had occurred and located the Conder in a nearby alley. Police said Conder was in possession of multiple tools commonly used in burglaries as well as stolen property from the victims residence.
Conder reportedly gave police a false name when initially asked for identification.
Conder was taken to the Vigo County Jail on preliminary charges of burglary, false reporting/informing, and disorderly conduct.
