THPD finds almost $100,000 worth of narcotics leading to two arrests

TERRE HAUTE, In. (WTWO/WAWV) – After responding to an overdose, the Terre Haute Police Department located almost $100,000 worth of narcotics.

Sunday morning, THPD officers responded to an overdose on the 3000 block of Schaal Ave. According to the THPD’s Facebook page, the overdose victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

After the responding officers noticed what they believed was methamphetamine, they contacted THPD detectives from the Vigo County Drug Task Force. The detectives received a search warrant for the home.

“Detectives located almost six pounds of methamphetamine and several firearms,” according to the Facebook post.

The approximate value of these narcotics is between $90,000 to $100,000.

Two arrests were made in relation to the search.

Matthew Beeler was arrested and charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Morgan Colbert was arrested and charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance.
