TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Staff members of a local company spent the morning sprucing up the city it calls home.

On Friday, the Garmong Construction staff continued their participation in a downtown Terre Haute cleanup. Staff members helped to spruce up and beautify the downtown area for the community.

Garmong Construction which is celebrating 100 years in business was founded in Terre Haute, and company officials say this event means a lot to the company.

“This isn’t just where we work. It’s really where our kids go to school, where we live, and the city of Terre Haute is really the front door to the place where we work so we want it to be an inviting place,” said Lance Gassert, the C.O.O of Garmong Construction.

Gassert also said the staff members really enjoy taking part in the community clean-up day.
