TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Terre Haute fire crews responded to a house fire at the 600 block of S. 8th Street shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Both the Terre Haute Fire Department and Terre Haute police responded to the call. According to Chief Bill Berry, firefighters were able to get the flames knocked down within a minute of arriving on the scene. The fire started in one house and spread to the house south of it. Berry also said one resident was injured with second-degree burns but refused treatment.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
