TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — People in the community will have a chance to donate to the Vigo County Education Foundation through their McDonald’s order on September 6.
In an effort to raise funds for the foundation, locally-owned Terre Haute McDonald’s restaurants will be donating a portion of the day’s proceeds directly to the education foundation from both in-store and online orders.
“The Vigo County Education Foundation does amazing things for the children in our community, and we’re proud to support the work they do,” said Jami Kasprzyk, local McDonald’s Owner/Operator.
The Vigo County Education Foundation serves 13,000 students and 1,100 teachers across 23 area schools and the funds raised will go towards improving the learning opportunities for students in the community and enriching the programs and projects already in place.

“The Vigo County Education Foundation is immensely grateful to the Kasprzyks and their McDonald’s restaurant patrons for this generous fundraiser benefiting Vigo County School Corporation students,” said Jane Templeton Nichols, Executive Director of the Vigo County Education Foundation. “These funds will be used to help teachers infuse their classrooms with creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning opportunities through classroom and school-wide grants and district-wide programs. This gift is truly an investment – an investment in our community’s most valuable resource, the education of our children.”
People can participate simply by ordering a meal on September 6 at a locally-owned Terre Haute McDonald’s restaurant either in-store or through the app. The McDonald’s Mobile App can be downloaded online here.
