TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Empowering women was the goal of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce’s annual Women’s Conference, held virtually on Friday.
Participants heard from guest speakers about things like both professional and personal development.
“This is a really unique opportunity to kind of hit that reset button in a lot of ways and be able to focus in on some great learning around resiliency and relationship building, all of which has just changed incredibly over the course of the past year,” said Kristin Craig, Chamber president.
Craig said one benefit of holding the event virtually is that it made it easier to feature speakers from further away.
“It’s a really exciting opportunity to be able to reach out a bit farther and get some speakers from around the country that maybe we wouldn’t have been able to have in person, really be able to kind of expand our reach a little bit and make it a really unique event for our region,” she said. “So we’re really excited to be able to offer this today to women across the Wabash Valley.”
