TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute woman is in custody following her arrest on preliminary charges of molesting a child.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Danielle Snow was arrested at the Terre Haute Police Department after she had arrived to dispute what she believed to be charges of abducting a 12-year-old boy.
Police had initially been investigating a 12-year-old boy who had been missing for almost 24 hours. Snow reportedly had lived with the boy’s family for some time, but recently had been kicked out.
Police found the boy at a home in the 1200 block of N. 4th Street in Terre Haute.
When questioned about visible hickeys on the boy’s neck, the boy told police that he and Snow had sex in the home. Snow was arrested on the preliminary charges of Child Molest, a level 3 felony.
Snow was taken to the Vigo County Jail. Vigo County Judge Michael Lewis found that there was probable cause for Snow’s arrest in an order issued Thursday.
Lewis set Snow’s bond at $35,000 no 10% allowed, and gave the state 72 hours to file formal charges.
