Terre Haute woman accused of stealing medicine from student

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute woman was arrested for stealing medicine from a student in Vermillion County.

Lydia A. Stevens, 40, was working as a school health aid at Van Duyn Elementary School in Clinton, Indiana when she allegedly stole medication from a student, according to Indiana State Police.

ISP said the investigation began in May.

Stevens was arrested Thursday, and charged with two counts of theft and one count of possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Vermillion County Jail pending posting of bond.
