TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Get ready for German food, music, and fun at this year’s 50th annual Oktoberfest, this weekend.

The event will be this Friday and Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., at the Vigo County fairgrounds.

Admission is $1 dollar, and there will be traditional German food, including bratwurst, sauerkraut and schnitzels. There will also be two live bands and even a keg and stein-holding contest.

Terre Haute Oberlandler Club member, Brian Roberts, commented on the camaraderie, surrounding the event.

“For some of us like myself, it’s family it’s tradition it’s having that friendship with club members and really it’s a social activity, it’s a social club started by a group of German immigrants,”
