TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man was arrested Saturday following an investigation into an improvised explosive device found at the Terre Haute Police Department.

Curtis Hogan, 50, was taken to the Vigo County Jail on charges of arson and possession of an explosive device. He appeared in court Monday where his bond was set at $50,000 cash only.

According to court documents, the cannister contained .22 long rifle ammunition, paint thinner and nails.

Hogan is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing Thursday.
