TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A man is facing charges after an overnight police chase in Terre Haute.

Terre Haute Police say at around 1 a.m. Wednesday, officers spotted a stolen vehicle in the 2000 block of Blaine Avenue.

When officers tried to stop the vehicle, police say it took off.

Indiana State Police deployed spike strips near 25th and Maple, which caused the vehicle to eventually come to a stop near Fruitridge and Haythorne.

Police say the driver, identified as Christopher Webster, was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

He faces charges of vehicle theft, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement and possession of methamphetamine.
