TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man has been found guilty of murder.
A jury came back with a guilty verdict against 21-year-old Dylan Morgan in the 2018 shooting of 18-year-old Gage Eup.
At the time of the shooting, Morgan initially told police Eup had accidentally shot himself. Authorities believed drugs and alcohol played a part in the shooting.
The jury had the opportunity to convict on the lesser charge of reckless homicide; however, they chose to find Morgan guilty of murder. He was also convicted on charges of altering the scene of a death, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
