PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Parke County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday that authorities pursued a truck that hit speeds of more than 100 mph during an attempted traffic stop early Saturday morning.
At 2:38 a.m., authorities attempted to pull over a truck at US 36 and SR 59. Going southbound on 36, the truck surpassed 100 mph and then veered onto county roads, coming to a stop on Rosedale Road near Denman. The driver then ran into nearby woods, where he was found lying in a creek and apprehended. The pursuit took approximately 30 minutes.
Arrested was Scott Taylor, 41, of Terre Haute, who was charged with felony and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, possession of heroin, obstruction of justice and driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the Parke County Jail.
