TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute will once again hold its Independence Day firework celebration at Fairbanks Park this year.

Terre Haute Parks and Recreation have announced that in addition to the fireworks display, residents can enjoy glow products, food vendors, and live music Monday, July 4.

Food Vendors will begin selling tasty treats at 6 p.m. with the music from the Terre Haute Community Band to start at 8 p.m.

Fireworks are planned to begin at dusk or approximately 10 p.m.

For the safety of the crowd, the parks department reminds residents that personal fireworks and alcohol is prohibited in all City parks.

Residents are also asked to leave pets at home when coming to view the fireworks. The Terre Haute Police Department will be onsite to enforce all park rules and regulations.

In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled for the evening of July 5.
