TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute Humane Society will host a pet and family-friendly event to raise funds for the shelter at Deming Park.

Saturday, Sept. 17, Thompson’s Honda will present Bark in the Park with support from Sharon Mattison, Haute House Flats and Precious Pets Forever.

This is one of the non-profit’s many efforts to offer safe refuge, facilitate adoptions, provide medical care, and educate the community.

Check-in and registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to visit booths set up by vendor sponsors and food providers, following the walk.

Pre-event registration is $25 before Sept. 9. All who are pre-registered are guaranteed a t-shirt and swag bag.

Individuals can register on-site at the event for $30 however, t-shirts and swag bags will not be guaranteed.

Again, all proceeds from Bark in the Park will benefit the Terre Haute Humane Society.
