TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Firefighters were called to two separate fires Thursday morning.
According to Terre Haute Fire Chief Bill Berry, the first occurred around 5:57 a.m. in the 1900 block of Prairieton Road at the Ruan Transportation Management Systems business.
Crews remained on scene for approximately one and a half hours, no injuries were reported.
Berry said the building had no occupants at the time of the incident.
The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental.
Another fire occurred around 10 a.m. Thursday at a residence in the 2100 block of N. 11th Street.
Berry reports that firefighters were able to control the fire within five minutes of arrival. Crews remained on scene for about one hour.
The chief said no one was home at the time of the fire, and that the house was being renovated at the time.
No injuries were reported, the cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in origin.
