TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Children’s Museum hosted a gingerbread house decorating event Saturday morning.

It was free admission to those in attendance due to the Wabash Valley Contractors Association. The houses were made of wood instead of gingerbread, allowing the houses to be reused for future occasions.

Terre Haute Children’s Museum Director of Education Renee Henry said that this is a great opportunity for families to make memories.

“Grandparents have come with their adult children and then their grandchildren,” Henry said. “It’s really a memory making opportunity.”
