TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Today is community census day, a time to encourage people in Terre Haute to share their thoughts about the city.
The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and the See You in Terre Haute Community Plan put on this effort. Every six months they survey the community regarding their thoughts and feelings about living in Terre Haute.
The community responses help to set priorities in the community plan. Chamber of Commerce officials say it’s important to hear what residents think and also get the thoughts of visitors and students.
“To see what type of community they want to see when they’re out of school and into the workforce, and with visitors as well because they’re ones that may potentially want to move to Terre Haute,” said Josh Alisp, Director of Community Engagement, Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce.
Alsip also said the survey is online and takes about five minutes. Alsip noted that at the end, participants will be entered into a chance to win up to $250 in gift cards.
