TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man is in jail following a break-in at the Boys and Girls Club sports complex Thursday morning.
37-year-old Matthew Bose of Terre Haute was arrested on the initial charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and resisting law enforcement.
According to Terre Haute Police, officers responded to a burglary alarm just after 2 a.m. and found Bose running inside the complex. As officers began setting up a perimeter around the property Bose reportedly attempted to hide after exiting through a chain link fence around the property.
Officers were able to seek Bose out and take him into custody without further incident.

Police said they found a large bag with items belonging to the club where Bose was initially spotted.
Vigo County Judge Michael Lewis ordered that Bose be held in custody by the Vigo County Jail while awaiting the state’s formal charges. The state has until Jan. 31 to file charges. Bose’s initial hearing in court is scheduled for Jan. 31 at 1:30 p.m.
He’s being held on a $25,000 bond with no 10% allowed.
