TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO) — Six people, including two adults and four children, have been displaced after firefighters confirmed an arson totaled their home in Terre Haute Friday night.
Preliminary information showed fire crews received the alarm from a home on the 1400 block of Woodley Avenue just before 6:40 p.m. Friday.
Fire crews said one adult and one child were taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation treatment.
One firefighter sustained an injury and was also taken to a local hospital. Another firefighter was treated at the scene for exhaustion.
After fire crews deemed the home a total loss, the American Red Cross was called to help the displaced.
