TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Regional Airport has a new director.
The announcement was made Wednesday morning during a news conference. Craig Maschino will be taking over.
Maschino has worked in the U.S. Air Force as a military intelligence officer and has his American Association of Airport Executives certification.
Maschino said his main goals heading into the new role will be to review all documentation, create a positive business environment, and continue to focus on safety. When discussing his emotions heading into the announcement, Maschino said he is confident in starting the new journey.
“I’m very humble because there’s a lot of great folks out there that applied for this position. And I think you know for me it’s definitely not a stepping stone. For me, I want to stay in Terre Haute, I raised my two adult children here. I’m glad to be able to stay in Terre Haute and serve my community in this new role.”
Maschino will officially take over officially on the first of November.
