VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The curator of the Vigo County History Center is taking on an additional role.

Suzy Quick was recently appointed to be the new Vigo County historian. Quick said she has wanted to be a historian since she was a child so she’s honored to be appointed to this role.

Quick noted that her duties as the county historian will be similar to what she does as the curator of the Vigo County History Center.

“I’m looking forward to getting started. I know that just kind of keeping a log of some of the research projects that I work on and documenting how I help people and being able to keep that record not just for my own organizational skills but in order to pass that along to the next historian,” Quick said.

The Indiana Historical Society and Indiana Historical Bureau created the County Historian Program in 1981.
