Sullivan mayor asks residents to give input on splash pad decision

Local News

SULLIVAN, Ind. — The Sullivan City mayor said he hopes residents will get involved in deciding if the community needs a splash pad.

Mayor Clint Lamb explained that the cost would be around $700,000, which is considerably less than the $3 million price tag attached to revamping the community pool.

We encourage residents to join a committee. Start with the aquatic feature and then let’s make some long term plans of the direction for parks and recreation here in the City of Sullivan. But it’s going to take citizen input. The administration can’t do it all.”

If the splash pad is the chosen project, Mayor Lamb said it could be completed by the summer of 2020.

Sullivan residents can go to City Hall to sign a petition in support of the splash pad.
