SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A few local seniors were celebrated in Sullivan Monday evening.
The Elks Club in Sullivan opened its venue to help the community celebrate four young men, who have volunteered to join the U.S. Army. The Sullivan County military send-off started in 2018, to showcase the young men and women volunteering for the military.
Co-organizer kevin arnett, says it’s important to give these seniors, the recognition they deserve.
“We wanna recognize these seniors for what they’re doing. You know we’re a free country because of these kids are voluntarily joining the military to defend us,” says Arnett.
Andrew Jeffers, Aiden Graniti, Zander Bedwell, and Gavyn Tryon will all be joining the united states army.
