SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– One Sullivan County venue is looking to do its part to support those in the community impacted by the deadly storm earlier this year.

Thunder Valley Entertainment is hosting a fundraiser all afternoon on Saturday, with proceeds going to help those in need around the community. Owner Scott Brown said it’s something he wanted to do in the immediate aftermath of the tornado.

“Pretty much right after the tornado came through I started talking to my wife and one of my partners. We just started putting it together pretty much right away,” he said.

The event included a number of vendors and eight bands scheduled to play throughout the evening. Brown said he had seen all the support Sullivan received following the tornado– and he was happy to play a small part in that.

“It means a lot to me, for the community to come together and help everybody out. It’s good that people can help people who pretty much lost all of their houses,” he said.

The event runs through Midnight, and those interested in seeing what else Thunder Valley Entertainment will offer this summer can check their Facebook page.
