SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom said Wednesday that a correctional officer in Sullivan County was arrested on charges stemming from incidents in Montana.

Cottom said that sheriff’s officials were alerted by Montana authorities of a wanted individual, possibly living in northeastern Sullivan County.

Police arrested Robert Lee Morrissey Jr., 58, of Hymera.

Laurel Police Department in Yellowstone County, Montana is the lead investigating agency.

He is being charged with three counts of sexual assault. His bond is set at $200,000.

Police said Montana authorities will be picking up Morrissey in the next few days.  

Morrissey is employed by the Indiana Department of Corrections in Carlisle.
