SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — For those who have had their homes destroyed or damaged by the recent tornado, the First Christian Church wants to help.

The First Christian Church in Sullivan will provide items and supplies to those in need. Volunteers will be passing out tarps, cleaning supplies, non-perishable food, water, sports drinks, and many other items.

The donations come from Convoy of Hope and will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday weather permitting.

“They’re [Convoy of Hope] able to get into areas affected by tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods and they provide relief. So they bring in a truck with specific items needed for whatever that area has gone through,” said Kristi King Irwin, Women & Family Outreach Director at Sullivan First Christian Church.

The church has made the donations accessible by allowing residents to pull up their cars and have the items loaded for them.

The First Christian Church is located at 105 North Broad Street in Sullivan.
