CAYUGA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — About 100 students explored the wetlands Thursday near the Duke Energy Generating Station in Cayuga, Ind. as part of an educational event.
The group learned the importance of wetlands and the Wabash River. They also learned about wildlife, vegetation and how electricity is made.
This is the 22nd year for the event. The students came from Parke Heritage High School in Rockville, Ind. and LaSallette Academy in Georgetown, Ill.
