TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Highschool students of the Wabash Valley attended a career conference at Ivy Tech Community College Friday.

The conference was hosted by Jobs for America’s Graduates, also known as JAG.

Students who attended the conference came from 9 schools across 6 counties.

“It’s a great networking opportunity for our students,” Manager for Region 7 Greg Lee said. “Part of our JAG curriculum is all about networking, job development, job attainment, and career exploration so these events really allow them to showcase their skills that they’ve been learning in the classroom over the last year or two, and to compete against each other for some cash prizes and scholarships.”

All the first place winners will go on to compete in Indianapolis for more scholarships.
