TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A “strike team” sent by the Indiana Department of Health offering free COVID-19 vaccines and testing is coming to Vigo County in late January.

The team will offer Moderna vaccines and boosters for ages 18 and up, Pfizer vaccines and boosters will be given to those age 12 and up. While Pediatric Pfizer vaccines will be available for ages 5 to 11.

Both PCR testing and Rapid Antigen tests will be available.

The team will set up the pop-up clinic in the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 meeting hall, located at 8707 E. Milner Ave.

Individuals arriving are asked to wear a mask, there will be separate entrances for vaccines and testing. People with mobility issues will be able to remain in their vehicles.

The clinic will operate from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 26 through Sunday, Jan 29. The clinic is first-come, first-served, but residents can register ahead of time to make the line go more quickly.

Vaccine registration will be located at Ourshot.gov. while registration to get tested will be found online at the states coronavirus website.

The Vigo County Health Department expects the websites to be up and accepting registration by Friday.
