ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Lots of excitement and energy at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College as it welcomed students and families to campus Friday.
Interim President Brennan Randolph said the residence halls are ready for students to move in. That includes a new building called the Lake House which will house about 40 students.
“We have 253 new students which is similar to the class of last year but I will say this year’s class is more diverse, as our international population is the most we’ve had in many, many years,” Randolph said.
Randolph said the college has a record enrollment with 634 students on campus. When you combine that with online and grad students the college expects to serve about 1,500 this year, and they’re excited to welcome the new students.
New academic programs this year include an online paramedic to BSN program also a pre-vet program in equine studies.
