SPENCER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After Indiana State Police and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department received reports of a road rage incident, a man was arrested on a burglary warrant out of Illinois. 

On June 7, around 3:18 p.m. two vehicles were reportedly involved in a road rage incident between the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz and the driver of a white pickup truck on SR 46 between Ellettsville and Spencer after local law enforcement received information of the driver of a Chevrolet Cruz being in the middle of the roadway due to a medical emergency.

When officers arrived on the scene, the driver of the pickup truck had left. Another officer in the area was able to locate the truck on SR 46 near the intersection of Concord Road in Owen County. During the investigation, the officer identified the passenger of the truck as Jesse E. Karrick, 28, of Illinois who was wanted on a warrant for burglary in Illinois. Karrick was transported to the Owen County Jail and is awaiting extradition. 

The road rage incident is still under investigation.
