TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A fire has reportedly caused a power outage that’s now caused the closure of a local soup kitchen.

According to Elizabeth Tyler, St. Benedict’s Soup Kitchen is closed until further notice as they await the restoration of electric power.

Terre Haute Fire Chief Bill Berry said the fire was quickly contained to a basement office window’s air unit, and no injuries resulted with the building being unoccupied at the time.

Tyler said the fire was in the basement over the weekend.
