ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Department of Music and Theatre at SMWC will be hosting a performance of I Hate Shakespeare

The performances will be held in the Cecilian Auditorium, located in the Conservatory of Music on the SWMC campus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12. Admission to this event is free.

According to a release from SMWC, “The play is a hilarious and fast-paced introduction to Shakespeare with a modern twist. It hits on the major works of Shakespeare in a fun and funny way that anyone who thinks they hate Shakespeare will find enjoyable.”

The production is directed by St. Mary of the Woods theater director Karen Crispin and helping as assistant director/technical advisor is Alusta Tapy who teaches math at West Vigo High School.

Other members of the cast include Antonia Taylor, associate director of academic services for student success/senior lecturer for languages and literature, and her daughter Lucy (who is in middle school), Joe Kane (West Vigo Middle School student), and Maggie Stahley (elementary student).
