SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A new wellness center offers free access to first responders in Sullivan County.
The Shelburn Police Department Reserve Association celebrated the grand opening of the new wellness and education center Friday. The center provides 24-7 access to fitness equipment, as well as education on staying physically and mentally fit.
Shelburn town Marshal and President of the reserve association Matthew Price explained that the effort was made possible thanks to donations and support from the community.
According to Price, the building housing the center is owned by Shelburn Fire and Rescue, who agreed to lease space to the association for 25 years for just $1.
