Shelburn family displaced following Monday afternoon fire

SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Shelburn family was displaced Monday after a fire destroyed their trailer, according to assistant chief John Norris of the Shelburn Fire Department.

Norris said the department was notified around 1:30 p.m. of the fire on Broadway Street. He noted it takes around 7 minutes for trailer homes to become engulfed in flames.

No injuries were reported. Representatives from the American Red Cross and Salvation Army were called to assist the family.
