SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A crash involving a DNR truck and a mini-van caused one person to be taken to an area hospital with minor injuries Wednesday.
According to Shelburn Town Marshal Matthew Price, the callcame in at approximately 11:58 a.m. for a crash at the intersection of SR 48 and US 41.
Price said the DNR truck was traveling northbound on US 41, while the van was headed southbound and attempted to turn left onto SR 48 when it hit the DNR truck.
Price added the van had three people inside; a driver, an adult passenger, and a juvenile passenger. The adult passenger was taken by ambulance to an area hospital as a result of the crash.
SR 48 traffic was briefly diverted onto Walnut Street to allow room for crews from Thunderbird Fire to clean up the scene.
Price said the scene was cleared by 12:38 p.m.
