TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Severe weather, including high winds, Tuesday caused power outages throughout Terre Haute and the surrounding areas.
Duke Energy reported more than 5,000 Indiana customers were without power by early afternoon Tuesday. More than 2,000 customers were in the Terre Haute area.
At least 887 customers were still without power at 1:20 p.m. in the area north of Wabash Avenue and east of North Fruitridge Avenue, according to the Duke Energy outage map.
Crews were on site working to restore power. An estimated restoration time of 5:45 p.m. was given. Fore more detailed outage information, visit the Duke Energy website.
