TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Both lanes of I-70 have reopened after a semi truck drove off the roadway Wednesday afternoon at the 2 mile marker in Terre Haute, Ind., according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames.
Half of the westbound side of I-70 had to shut down earlier in the day as emergency crews responded to the scene. One lane remained open for slow rolls to maintain the flow of traffic.
It’s unclear what caused the semi truck to go off of the roadway and ISP is conducting an investigation, Ames said. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Ames said, and no one else was hurt in the accident.
