VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana Conservation Officers recovered the body of Terry L. Evans from the Wabash River Sunday morning in the area where his capsized boat was first discovered on Friday, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources reported.
Evans was 64 and lived in Danville, Ill.
His family has been notified. An exact cause of death is pending autopsy results.
According to officials, a Duke Energy employee called 911 at around 2:45 p.m. Friday after finding a boat overturned near a low head dam, located on a feeder creek along the Wabash River.
The boat was located near the Duke Energy Plant in Vermillion County.
