VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It’s an exciting day for Saturn Petcare in Vigo County as it celebrates the completion of new office spaces.

Earlier this year, the pet food company started an expansion project that will double its capacity. As part of the project, the company decided it needed more office space.

Company officials said the community’s support has been amazing since it first transformed a former plant into a wet pet food manufacturing facility in 2019.

“Vigo County has welcomed us more than we’ve ever imagined and we’re extremely happy to be here,” said Maarten Moog CEO of Saturn Petcare.

Officials also expressed that they’re happy to celebrate this growth with the community.

“We have spent so far in this project, in the expansion project, 5 million dollars here within vigo county. We will spend another 3 million dollars on until February of next year, so a total of 8 million dollars investment in our community. We’re trying to do our part to give back and same as the community has supported us we want to return the favor,” Saturn Petcare COO Andy Volkl said.

The company is also celebrating the renaming of the street its facility is located on. Its address is now 100 East Saturn Petcare Drive.
