TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local school is preparing for one of its favorite community events.
Sarah Scott Middle School in Terre Haute is inviting the community to join them this Friday for a fish fry. On Wednesday, students decorated the school’s fence in preparation for the event. All proceeds from the fish fry will go toward student activities like field trips.
The food will include all-you-can-eat catfish, pulled pork, and sides. There will also be a silent auction, a raffle, and a bake sale. But the school’s favorite part of the event is the fellowship.
“The thing we love about the Sarah Scott Fish Fry is that it’s an opportunity for the community to come in and spend some time within our walls and share with the Sarah Scott family. They get to eat some great catfish, pulled pork, and sides, and it’s really a community gathering so we look forward to it each year,” said Scotia Brown, principal of Sarah Scott Middle School.
The fish fry will be this Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sarah Scott Middle School. Tickets to attend are $15 dollars for adults and $8 dollars for children. Those interested in attending can purchase tickets at the event or online now at the Sarah Scott Middle School webpage.
