TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Police say there were no serious injuries after a wreck Friday morning near a local school.

Police say 27-year-old Johnathan Johnson of Terre Haute was driving westbound on Lockport Road.

As his vehicle approached the area of 10th 1/2 Street, police say Johnson reports he fell asleep at the wheel.

That’s when police say the vehicle left the roadway and collided with the fenced area around the tennis courts of Sarah Scott Middle School.

The vehicle rolled multiple times, coming to rest on its tires.

Police say Johnson complained of pain but suffered no life-threatening injuries.
