SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a complete road closure for State Road 54 just east of U.S. 41.
Beginning on or around Tuesday, July 6, contractors will close S.R. 54 about a half mile east of the junction of U.S. 41 to replace a box culvert at that location. Work will require complete excavation of the structure and cuts across all lanes of traffic.
Work is expected to last until the beginning of August, depending upon weather conditions. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. All through traffic should use the official detour following U.S. 41, S.R. 48 and S.R. 59.
